The pulse transformer is cased in a plastic shell and has a ratio of 1:1:1 i.e. it has one primary coil & two secondary coils. This is the simple transformer for coupling input to two outputs. 4503 Pulse transformer has six legs where two legs act as primary whereas 4 legs represent two pairs of secondary coils. Both the secondary windings are electrically isolated to ensure minimum leakage inductance between the two. So when a pulse is provided at the primary pulse we receive output at both the secondary outputs. This can be used for firing two SCRs in inverse configuration.
